September 30 email

this week has been tiring. but we have some really cool people we are teaching that will be progressing pretty far and I am excited. I am still getting to know my area called Hatillo. we always find something cool everyday. the other day we found a pretty big candy shop. which isn't really a thing here in the Dominican. so we will be taking a trip or two this week. yesterday something pretty neat happened. there was a family that showed up to church that I had never seen before. a member had brought us over to meet them. we asked if they were members and they had said no. we went ahead and put an appointment with them and will hopefully go see them this week. we went home and I checked the binder of the area. which has all people who were taught by the missionaries in that area who were progressing, of the people who were recently baptized, etc. but we had found a form about them with what the missionaries had taught and why they had dropped them. it was due to the husband not being able to get Sundays off and as well as not being able to find another job to replace. but they all showed up yesterday so it seems the husband was able to start working some where else and from what I read about them they have a high chance of getting baptized.

me and my comp. get along pretty well of course there is always something thats there though. but we generally work well together and teach well together. we're hoping that we will be able to get together after the mission and do some fishing and other things.

we sometimes struggle to keep the kitchen clean though. we just need to keep up on dishes.

we are hoping to have zone conference this week so we can do some other things the week after. as well as we are waiting to get a map of our area so we can know where we can go to find more people to teach along with some fans so we can sleep more comfortable as I am missing air conditioning. 

we found a suit guy that makes suits for all the missionaries. and they are all pretty nice I might look into getting one. as well as I will be getting a really cool domino set which is a very popular game here that I have gotten good at with the few times I have played. I've looked into learning some piano as well but its fairly difficult especially when you are out all day walking around but when there is a free piano and I have time I take advantage.
